BAIETA Restaurant Saigon Thao Dien is truly one of the most beautiful and romantic dining spots in Thao Dien. It’s hard to find another place with such a charming atmosphere and stunning view. The food here is absolutely delicious, especially the French dishes which I personally loved. Every dish feels carefully prepared and full of flavor. The staff are attentive, friendly, and always welcoming with a smile, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality and ambiance. I especially enjoyed the Pinot Noir wine here — it paired perfectly with the meal and the cozy evening atmosphere. If you are visiting Thao Dien, it’s definitely worth spending an evening at BAIETA Restaurant Saigon Thao Dien. A wonderful place for a romantic dinner or a relaxing night with friends and family.

BAIETA Restaurant Saigon Thao Dien - Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
BAIETA sits on Nguyễn Văn Hưởng with an unobstructed line of sight to Landmark 81 across the Saigon River — a setting that draws a reliably international crowd looking for something between a casual European bistro and a full dinner service. The terrace catches the afternoon light and holds the river breeze well into the evening, making the hour before sunset the peak window for a table.
The menu anchors on wood-fired pizza, and the range is broader than most Thao Dien competitors: eleven variations run from a classic Margherita to the house signature, Pizza La Baieta, which layers truffle mushroom ham and burrata over arugula. The panuozzo — a sandwich pressed from the same pizza dough and finished in a wood-fired oven — is a less obvious order, particularly the prosciutto and Merguez versions. Beyond pizza, the kitchen produces raw seafood plates (salmon carpaccio, tuna tataki, salmon tartare), cold-cut charcuterie boards, and a French snails preparation in garlic butter that several reviewers single out by name.
The bar runs a proper happy hour alongside a wine list that reviewers describe as fairly priced for the riverside address. Service has been noted as attentive even under improvised circumstances — a party that arrived without a reservation on Valentine's Day evening was seated without friction.
Two caveats worth knowing: portions lean smaller than the price point implies, particularly on pasta dishes, and the pizza crust sits on the softer side, which may disappoint those expecting a cracker-thin Neapolitan finish. For the Thao Dien stretch, few spots combine a credible European menu, a functioning cocktail bar, and an unobstructed river view in the same footprint. Closed Mondays; kitchen runs until midnight the rest of the week.

Reviews
Baieta Restaurant in Saigon offers a refined yet relaxed dining experience that stands out for its elegant blend of Mediterranean flavors, curated drinks, and a truly memorable setting. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere feels elevated without being pretentious modern décor, warm lighting, and an open layout that naturally draws your attention toward the sweeping view of the Saigon River. The sight of Landmark 81 rising in the distance adds a dramatic, almost cinematic backdrop, especially as the city transitions from sunset into night. The menu leans confidently into Mediterranean cuisine, with dishes that feel both thoughtfully crafted and approachable. Fresh ingredients are clearly at the heart of everything, whether it’s seafood prepared with delicate balance or small plates designed for sharing. There’s a sense of attention to detail in presentation and flavor pairing that elevates the overall experience. Equally impressive is the beverage program. Baieta’s cocktail selection showcases creativity without sacrificing balance, while the wine list is well-curated, offering options that complement the menu beautifully. Whether you’re in the mood for a light aperitif or a bold red to accompany dinner, the staff are knowledgeable and happy to guide your choice. What truly ties everything together is the ambiance, the combination of great food, thoughtful drinks, and that stunning riverside view makes Baieta ideal for both special occasions and relaxed evenings. It’s the kind of place where you linger a little longer, simply because it feels good to be there.
Tried out Baieta Restaurant with some friends from Canada, and it turned into one of those “hidden gem” kind of nights. First off, this place is not easy to find. It’s not on the main strip—you actually have to drive through a small alleyway, and then suddenly it just opens up into this really cool riverside spot. Definitely adds to the experience. People walk the riverside as you’re eating. The location is a big win. Sitting by the river, catching the sunset, and seeing Landmark 81 light up in the evening makes it a great place to just relax and hang out. We ordered pizza and burgers, and both were really good—simple, satisfying, and done right. Drinks were solid too, so no complaints there. Total came out to about 2 million VND for 4 people, which felt pretty reasonable for the setting and overall experience. Overall, it was the good vibes. Great spot to bring friends, especially if you want something a bit more unique than the usual city restaurants.
Great location with beautiful river view to the city! I would say best view. Tasty food 😍 and friendly staff. Had a great night there. Will come back for sure.
We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day afternoon at Baieta! Despite not having a reservation, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, managing to set a table for us. The food was fresh and offered great value—the charcuterie and seafood dishes were standouts. They have a lovely selection of pairing drinks, and watching the sunset over the river was the perfect finishing touch ♥️
