The Story

About This Place

A street-side dessert counter on Đỗ Quang, this small spot runs on a deliberately narrow menu: waffles and churros made from recipes the French owner carried over from Paris. Doors open at 3 PM, making it an afternoon and evening destination rather than a brunch anchor — a distinction that keeps the crowd focused and the product consistent.

The waffles are the headline. Batter that crisps properly on the iron while staying airy through the center, finished with toppings that include the signature coco caramel version, a banana-caramel combination finished with whipped cream, and others built around house-made sauces rather than commercial pours. The caramel and chocolate are prepared in-house, and the whipped cream is made from scratch — details that are modest to describe but apparent in the result. Churros arrive crunchy, with Nutella as the popular order and a house strawberry jam pairing that regulars tend to recommend.

With 316 reviews averaging a perfect score, the consistency here is notable for a space this size. The owner's presence at the counter is mentioned repeatedly across reviews — not as background color but as something that shapes the interaction. Recipes sourced directly from Paris put the product closer to a boulangerie pastry counter than the waffle-and-soft-serve hybrids that have proliferated across Thao Dien in recent years.

The hours — 3 to 10 PM daily — mean Coco Paris occupies a specific slot in the neighborhood's rhythm: the gap between afternoon coffee and a late dinner. No sprawling menu, no seasonal pivots. For anyone already in the area after a long stretch at one of the nearby study cafés, or looking for somewhere to end an evening without committing to a full dessert restaurant, it fills that slot precisely.

came across this place after eating dinner and besides the waffle being so delicious the service was so warming and welcoming, although I didn’t know much Vietnamese to talk to her she still felt so friendly which made the experience here so lovely, would definitely come back!! So affordable and yummy, we got the Dubai waffle! It’s not on their menu but don’t be scared to ask for it 😋

Hands down one of the best waffles I ever had...crispy on the outside, tender on the inside! Plus, the dough is moist and not too overpowering. There are various flavours available: I tried the Vero and Neo waffles. Suffice to say, they didn't disappoint!! The owner is generous with the toppings. Overall, great food + super nice owner = made my experience heart-warming. I felt bad for troubling the owner as only QR was accepted, which might be a hassle for some travellers like me even with Wise payment...but it was settled, she was very lovely, highly recommended!!

I first tried these waffles 7 years ago in Mui Ne, and ever since then, every time I come back, I always have to visit the place The last time I saw the owner, he told me he would open a shop in Saigon, so of course I had to come and try them again. Every single waffle is made with so much care and heart They are still just as delicious as I remember, and chị Vân is so kind and welcoming Truly worth coming back for

The absolute best waffle spot! 🥞✨ If you are picky about your desserts, you need to check this place out. Their waffle are unbelievably fluffy. The owner manage to get that perfect golden crisp on the outside while keeping the inside incredibly light, airy, and cloud-like. The funny thing is I’m a "non-sweetener" type and usually find modern desserts way too sugary. I love that you can actually ask for less sweet here. It was a perfect match for my taste—all the flavor without the sugar overload! They haveeeeee Secret Menu: Don't just look at the regular board—ask the owner about their secret menu! They have amazing surprise combinations featuring fresh fruit, and they even do a Mint Choco Special if you're a fan hehe. Highly recommend. Will definitely be a regular here!💚

The waffles and churros here are very yummy! 😋 My personal favorite was the Sky Waffle, the bananas inside were very sweet. The whip cream was also very delicious as well. 100/10 would return back. As well here you could choose your own toppings too from the variety the menu has
