I had some great chicken fajitas tonight. They weren't greasy or over/undercooked and the portion was big. Really tasty stuff. I mean 100% "cực kỳ ngon." You know, I was on my way to my regular Mexican restaurant down the street but they were crowded so I came here instead tonight. Happy good luck was with me tonight because the food here is much better. Weo and Chau were my amazing super professional servers who were friendly and happy and their hair seemed to keep changing colors. Or maybe I take too much medication and I'm just hallucinating. I like the Flying Pig too much...

Flying Pig Saigon - Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
Flying Pig Saigon opens at 4 PM and runs until midnight most nights — 11 AM on Sundays — positioning it firmly in Thao Dien's evening and late-night tier rather than the neighborhood's dominant brunch-and-coffee culture. The menu is built around American bar food with a Tex-Mex lean: tacos filled with ling cod and zhough sauce or Cajun paprika shrimp with avocado, nachos loaded with jalapeños, olives, and salsa, and quesadillas in variations from straight melted cheese to pulled pork and mac n' cheese with a BBQ dipping sauce.
The loaded tater tots — cheddar, bacon, spring onion, sour cream — summarize the kitchen's approach well: familiar formats pushed into shareable, topping-heavy territory. Nashville chicken runs through both the taco menu and a slider pairing, each version bringing heat through jalapeño mayo. The pulled pork taco adds pico de gallo and guacamole for contrast, while the chili con carne taco layers mozzarella and sour cream over the base. Potato skins with emmental and onion, corndogs, and Thai chicken lettuce cups round out a snack section designed for groups ordering across the table rather than single plates.
The price point and format — shareable snacks, bar classics, sliders — draws a consistent expat and international crowd that gravitates toward Thao Dien's western-facing dining options. The midnight close gives it staying power on nights when the district's earlier-closing venues have already shut down. With 348 Google reviews averaging 4.4, Flying Pig Saigon holds a steady position as one of the area's more reliable options for American comfort food that actually runs late.

Reviews
The best place in Xuan Thuy to chill after work. Really friendly staff and manager, delicious food and a wide variety of drinks. Great happy hour, AC and TV's for sports enthusiasts. Highly recommended.
First time at Flying Pig Saigon and it did not disappoint. I ordered the half rotisserie chicken with three sides — the chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. The gravy was outstanding and tied everything together. It was so good I ordered another half to take home. Great service, clean space, and a solid spot if you want good food with a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely coming back.
Came in for Taco Thursday BOGO, ordered and waited 30 minutes before tacos arrived. Tacos were too greasy!!! Place was empty but was told there is a big party upstairs. Didn't get charge for the tacos, which was nice on them.
If you are looking for a place to chill out in the evening, with a cool open space, soft music and shimmering yellow lights, Flying Pig will definitely be an option worth trying. The dishes here are beautifully presented, with investment in both presentation and quality. The drinks here seem to be healthy or light cocktails, not too sweet. In short: the drink is fresh, clean, not much chemical sugar. Suitable for those who like a mild taste, not harsh alcohol or sugar The 2nd floor of Flying Pig 97 Xuan Thuy chills out of hiccups 😍 The airy rooftop space, shimmering yellow lights are extremely suitable for sitting and confiding or dating lightly. The food is beautifully presented, the taste is stable, the water is cool and pleasant. Going to chill but if you want to be quiet, the view is beautiful, you should try it! 💫
