If you’re looking for a satisfying midday meal, this place is a right destination. I come here for lunch all the time, and it never fails to deliver. 100% authentically run by a native Korean owner who keeps the flavors true to their roots. You can taste the care, quality, and effort in every single bite. The portions are huge. The side dishes are excellent, diverse, and generously served. The service is efficient, making it ideal for a workday recharge. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a real, deeply satisfying Korean feast!

ICHACHADOL RESTAURANT - Wok restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
Family cooking defines what draws people to ICHACHADOL on Nguyễn Đăng Giai — a wok restaurant where Korean expats and first-time visitors to Ho Chi Minh City seek it out with intention rather than stumbling in. The pull is consistency: a perfect 5.0 across 13 reviews, with Korean-language feedback repeatedly citing the taste of home (고향의 맛) and the warmth of jeong (정), that untranslatable Korean concept of emotional care embedded in cooking and hospitality.
The Korean-style BBQ is the clear centerpiece, praised by both native Korean diners and international visitors for its freshness and portions described as genuinely large. The kitchen produces what regulars identify as homemade flavors rather than the standardized output of chain Korean restaurants — a distinction that matters to the Korean expat community that forms the core of the regular clientele.
What separates the experience from comparable Korean spots in Thao Dien is the attention to the full meal arc. Sikhye — a traditional Korean sweet rice punch — is served complimentary after the meal, a small gesture that multiple Korean reviewers cited as meaningful, connecting the restaurant directly to home cooking rather than commercial dining. The spacious interior stays clean and well-maintained, with several reviewers independently flagging hygiene as a standout.
Value runs high relative to quality. Korean diners, arguably the toughest critics for Korean food abroad, describe the pricing as excellent given what arrives at the table. Hours run 10 AM to 10 PM six days a week, closed Sundays. The address sits slightly off the main Thao Dien strip on Nguyễn Đăng Giai, which keeps walk-in traffic low — the clientele here arrives with a specific craving in mind.

Delicious, home made-like.
A friendly petite restaurant that serves delicious food! The business is family owned and they are so kind. Their feature beef set was out of this world yummy! Great deal for authentic korean food that beats other restaurants i have tried in hcmc. I will come back to try out more of their menu.
