It’s a small bar very nice design inside, good music that is a plus. However the staff seemed very uncomfortable & rude in a way haha as we came an hour before closing at 2am, we know it’s late but we ordered drinks n everything. I remember it was 2:52 and we were trying to take some pics before they close, they talked to a couple in viet that they might open another extra 10mins for them but THEY wanted us gone even before it hits 3. They could’ve just say it normally but instead they kept the door open so we couldn’t take nice pics bc of the light from outside, they put on sad music and just all the thing like we didn’t pay for our drinks? Not sure if it worth the hype as it’s also a small business place, btw the drinks are very decent. not good nor bad

Lost Birds Cocktail & Whiskey Bar - Cocktail bar in Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
Lost Birds occupies a narrow shophouse on Xuân Thủy, its entrance half-obscured by weathered walls that give little away from the street. Inside, the room is anchored by a rectangular bar station running down the center, flanked by stools, with a cluster of sofas toward the back for groups who want to settle in. Exposed brickwork and raw concrete pillars define the look — worn rather than polished, which suits the late-night crowd that gravitates here from around 8 PM onward.
The bar's 4.8-star average across more than 200 reviews rests largely on its staff. Bartenders are cited by name across multiple reviews — Bao, Anh, Thanh — and the consistency of that feedback points to something the venue has clearly prioritized. The cocktail list leans signature over classic, with a whiskey selection that gives spirit drinkers reason to stay past the first round. Daily happy hour from 6 to 8 PM takes 30% off drinks, making it one of the more straightforward value propositions in a neighborhood where bar tabs climb quickly.
What separates Lost Birds from the louder venues along the D2 strip is its scale. The room is small enough that it rarely feels anonymous, and on quieter weeknights the atmosphere tilts toward conversation rather than spectacle. For the opposite end of the calendar, it holds up on New Year's Eve and Christmas without losing that baseline intimacy.
A detail worth knowing: a separate izakaya operates directly above the bar, accessible from within. It's not prominently advertised, which means most first-time visitors miss it entirely. The bar runs until 2 AM most nights and until 3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.

I went on New Year's Eve. Nice place, great drinks. Shout out to my man bartender that night also! Happy New Year!
Went in the bar with less crowded and the staff Bao & Anh was super friendly!! Love the vibes and environment. Highly recommended!
Great bar with an amazing atmosphere! The staff is super friendly and fun, which makes the whole place feel even more inviting. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the night 🌃
Came for Happy Hour (Daily, 6-8 PM, 30% off drinks). Didn’t love my drink but it was still interesting nonetheless. Wonderful service though. Music choice was sorta questionable.
