My go to place for bun cha Hanoi. I also like their other dishes, the atmosphere of their restaurant, the friendly and accommodating Vietnamese staff. 😊
Honest review: before I go ahead I want to emphasize I am not a cheapskate, but honestly just find it hard to justify the price. I went into restaurant, none of the staff seemed to care, just sat and ignored, had to go up to three different staff to get served, each passing the duty onto the next. Finally get served, ordered BUN BO HUE for 40k vnd, truthful review, the food was quite nice and I would go back again for the same dish, but staff...mmm??? My biggest issue is getting charged 5k vnd for what should be a free cup of "tra da" or 2-3k vnd max (no I am not a cheapskate, but this restaurant is not a high class place nor is the food prices high, it is a budget place, I got meal for 40k, so 5k for tra da really is hard to justify). Food was good, I give credit where it is due. EDIT: In reply to your reply, I sat at the left handside restaurant first and was ignored, then I went to the walk-through door joining the two restaurants and asked if the two places were the same or not, asked very clearly (a few times to be precise as your staff were all playing ln their phones), the older lady staff said "yes yes same same", so I sat inside, then the older lady got a younger boy to serve me, who then got a middle aged lady to serve me bun bo hue. When I got my bill I enquired about the 5k vnd charge for tra da, and the middle aged lady clearly said that the whole food premises (left and right) has the same pricing for tra da, which is 5k vnd. I asked 3 times if this is really the price or not, and she confirmed 3 times the price is correct and both places charge that price.
