This restaurant service is extremely bad, they keep thinking to have more sales / turnover without thinking of customer feeling. Open with high price but offer bad service we never experienced elsewhere. All staffs are rude, keep chasing even you are eating just half of the food. We came at 8.30 and asking to leave at 9.30 - actually we just wanted to finish and leave asap with this kind of service and never want to come back. One friend book this place but we felt that never want to come back. Thao Dien has so many kool vibes with more proper service.

WKND - Brunch restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
WKND sits on Tống Hữu Định and draws a consistent crowd spanning expat families, Australian visitors, and weekend brunch regulars from across the city. The menu carries a clear Australian influence — large, confidently seasoned dishes that move from croissants and breakfast ragu through burgers, bowls, and salads, with enough Asian-fusion territory to hold interest across multiple visits. Vegetarian options appear throughout rather than as an afterthought.
Seating at the bar facing the open kitchen is widely regarded as the best position in the room, where watching the line work adds to the experience. Portions run large — the kitchen paces service accordingly — and food arrives quickly despite steady volume. The drinks list extends well beyond coffee: cocktails and craft beer make the space a workable afternoon destination long after the brunch rush subsides.
Families with young children are deliberately accommodated. A dedicated kids menu comes paired with appropriately scaled utensils, and the venue offers both air-conditioned indoor sections and shaded outdoor seating, giving parents real flexibility. For a restaurant logging 4.8 across nearly 2,500 reviews, the kitchen performs consistently across a broad menu rather than staking everything on a single signature.
The breakfast ragu and octopus salad appear most often in repeat-visitor accounts. Desserts — described as rich without tipping into excess — attract their own following. The practical caveat: booking ahead is advisable. The room fills fast on weekends, and walk-ins can encounter a wait even when the space appears to have capacity.
Among Thao Dien's all-day venues, which tend to cluster around the quick-casual or heavily styled ends of the spectrum, this one occupies a different register: a high-capacity brunch operation that takes its food seriously and delivers consistently at scale.
Reviews
WKND Vietnam offers a modern take on Vietnamese cuisine with a lively, stylish atmosphere. The menu features fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavours. The price is quite expensive but it’s worth. There is a place for kids - nice to have.
Each portion is huge OMG But the food quality is good for most of the dishes. Esp the burgers!!!!! Many seatings, including indoors and outdoors, normal table and counter seats, and the ambience is quite good also A regular visit for me!!
Best breakfast we’ve had in Ho Chi Minh City — full stop. WKND is hands-down the top brunch spot in Thao Dien, District 2. The Eggs Benedict was outstanding: perfectly poached eggs, grilled asparagus, crispy bacon, and a silky hollandaise on sourdough toast. The brioche breakfast burger with the runny fried egg on top was equally impressive — buttery bun, deep caramelized flavor, and the house sambal on the side was a great touch. The matcha latte was rich, earthy, and beautifully balanced — not chalky like most cafés in HCMC. Great ambiance, attentive service, and consistent quality. If you’re looking for the best breakfast or brunch in Saigon, skip the rest and come straight to WKND. Highly recommended.
This is one of my favorite brunch restaurants. The prices are quite affordable, and the portions are very generous. As for the food, I rate it highly—every dish is excellent, from the salads to the main courses. The space is very suitable for families with young children, as there is an indoor play area. It’s also a chill spot for couples and adults, and a great place to invite business partners for a casual lunch meeting. Regarding the service, it’s just average. The staff are okay but tend to have low energy and don’t smile much.
