Eddie's is one of the few places I've tried that serves authentic American comfort food. I visited the Thao Dien branch, and the first thing that caught my attention was the atmosphere—it felt just like the classic American diners you often see in movies. I ordered a hamburger, a hot dog with smashed potatoes in gravy and mayo cabbage, onion rings, and pancakes with honey for dessert. The portions are huge, so if you don't eat much, you might want to share. Everything was well executed, with good flavors and quality ingredients. It was enjoyable, but personally it didn't quite reach the "wow" level for me. One detail I really appreciated was the selection of condiments on every table. Seeing brands like Tabasco and Heinz added a nice authentic touch to the overall experience. The prices aren't cheap, but they're reasonable considering the portion sizes and quality. Overall, it's a great place to experience authentic American food in Ho Chi Minh City, especially if you're craving that classic diner vibe.
